Eat Better in the Morning

What you eat for breakfast can have a big impact on how well your injury heals. Eggs, milk, orange juice, and other morning staples contain protein, vitamin C, and other vital nutrients that help tissues and cells recover from injuries and wounds. Breakfast can also give your body enough fuel to get through your day as well as helps you maintain a good weight. Being overweight may also cause some injuries to heal slower than normal.

It's important to eat a balanced meal every morning during your recovery period. If you can't eat a full meal due to nausea or another health issue, eat a small breakfast instead. If possible, consume a piece of fruit or another healthy item in the middle of the morning. Also, stay hydrated as much as possible by drinking plain water, orange juice, and tea.
